Meet the Executive Board
Behind everything we do is a team of people who truly care. We bring our full selves to the table—open-minded, collaborative, and ready to make something great. The WCPS SECAC Executive Board currently consists of co-chairs April Crohare and Katie Mollo, and our secretary Colleen Ayling.
The Washington County Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee (SECAC) has a wide range of subcommittees. These groups focus on advancing areas of special education services and advocacy.
SECAC Committees Include:
Medically Complex: Provides support and recommendations on the unique needs of this community
Behavior Supports: Follows and presents innovative ways to reduce challenging behaviors within and outside the classroom
Advocacy: Identifies systemic topics within Special Education
Finance: Has oversight of executive board spending and budget
Enrich: Works to build a teaching model that enriches the lives of WCPS students with representatives from non-profits, outside therapies, and more
Early Learning: Focuses on our birth to five learners
Legislative: Follows the legislative session as it relates to Special Education
Board Relations: Follows monthly Board of Education meetings and reports to general membership
Events: Organizes and hosts an annual Resource Fair and other events as needed
